Position Summary:
AmeriMex Motor & Controls, an ISS company, is looking for a permanent I&E Technician. The I&E Technician modifies, repairs, or overhauls electronic and electrical equipment and controls while applying knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions. The ideal candidate must be able to work 50 hours on a standard week and must be able to travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical systems: 480v power distribution, 24vdc control systems.
- Work on PLCs.
- Wire 3-phase motors and run insulation tests on motors.
- Work on and program VFDs.
- Run wire and terminate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree or technical degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering a BONUS.
- 4 years of VFD experience.
- Journeyman electrical license a BONUS.
- Valid Drivers license.
- Knowledge of NEC code.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Must be able to travel.
- Standard week 50hrs.
