The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including managing acute medical conditions, coordinating care with other healthcare providers, and communicating with patients and their families about treatment plans and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the care of hospitalized patients, including assessing and treating acute medical conditions
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including nurses, pharmacists, and specialists, to coordinate patient care
  • Communicate with patients and their families about treatment plans, prognosis, and expectations
  • Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results to inform patient care
  • Manage patient transitions of care, including discharge planning and communication with primary care providers
  • Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives and other hospital committees as needed

Requirements:

  • BE / BC - IM / FM 
  • Active Oklahoma license or open to acquiring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Opportunity Overview:

  • ADC - low to mid-teens
  • No procedures or ICU 
    • Expected ICU opening in Q1 of 2024
  • EMR - Medhost
