We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to join our product & engineering team and help us unleash the potential of every business. Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Engineering and Information Technology Industries: Financial Services and Software Development What you’ll own as the Software Engineer II As a Software Engineer II you will have the opportunity to work with bleeding‑edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications. Deliver high quality features which involve contributing to design, development, testing and release. Participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements. Collaborate closely with multiple parties (Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps etc.) from across Worldpay to brainstorm and pick best solutions for a problem within the constraints of the system. Participate actively in code reviews and maintain high quality standards. Assist with investigation of live system issues and propose solutions to address the root cause. Attends all SAFe/Agile related ceremonials. Assess impacts of architectural direction in the areas of Security, Availability, Performance, Maintainability, and Scalability. Participating in Performance tuning activities and looking for opportunities to improve platform performance. Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. What you’ll bring 6+ years of experience in delivering software solutions in either consumer or enterprise space. 5+ years of experience in .NET and related frameworks. Experience with Kafka, business drivers, and emerging computing trends. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required. Very good understanding of Agile software development model. Experience with Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalable, resilient, and secure architectures using Azure and hybrid cloud environments. It’s a bonus if you have Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills. Be self‑driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data. Experience with Cloud‑based (both Azure and AWS) services from .NET, and designing/coding microservice APIs targeting .NET 6 and higher. Payments or Fintech industry experience.
