Job Details Assistant Store Manager Reports To: Store Manager Direct Reports: None Employment Type: Full-Time Status: Non-Exempt Division: Operations Job Purpose The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for expediting shipments of parts sent and returned from or to XL Parts/The Parts House distribution center(s). Key Responsibilities Shipping and receiving of merchandise Assemble and fill customer orders to be delivered within a 45 minute window Inventory and cycle counts Schedule contract drivers based on company business needs Answer customer questions and address complaints Store opening and closing duties Handle cash, cash counts, and deposits Stock and pull parts Answer phones Keep store and front counter clean Keep warehouse clean and provide a safe work environment Requirements High School Degree or GED 1 to 2 years of experience working in a retail environment Highly motivated to provide superb customer service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen Benefits We offer a competitive compensation plan complete with attractive benefits offerings that include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. Environmental / Occupational Health & Physical Requirements Typical 9‑hour day includes reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. The employee must be capable of working in a fast‑paced environment. Heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more may be required. The employee also shares responsibility to perform routine housekeeping activities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, and changing trash can liners.
