Banquet Sous Chef Requirements:
2+ years in a similar role as a Sous Chef for large catered events
Hands-on leadership style
Problem-solver, and highly organized
Proficient in managing P&L for labor and food costs
Skilled in motivating and leading and developing ones team
Effective and clear verbal communication skills
Banquet Sous Chef Responsibilities:
Manage planning, preparation, and execution for catered events
Mentor and develop staff through training and coaching
Deliver feedback and hold the team accountable to all standards
Ensure the banquet kitchen is staffed accordingly, hire and train when needed
Responsible for food product procurement
Comply with all purchasing programs
Ensure all equipment is functioning in proper order
Comply with all county and state laws governing food service operations
