Learn more at www.averydennison.com.BenefitsHealth & wellness benefits starting on day 1 of employmentPaid parental leave401K eligibilityTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance Program eligibility / Health AdvocatePaid vacation and paid holidaysJob DescriptionThis role is on 3rd shift,11p to 7a Sunday-Thursday.Tests in-process, final and middle samples using industry/company approved technologiesMakes adjustments batches based upon in-process and final sample resultsBox samples for storageAnswer phone calls during off-hoursTests or approves incoming raw materialsRecords test results into QTL database, judging for completeness and accuracy of dataPrints certificate of analysis (C of A) for distribution to appropriate personnelCalibrates testing instruments, including (pH meter, viscometers, and temperature baths).Moves testing materials as required, including weighing non-bulk itemsFollows standard operating procedures during use of equipmentCleans testing equipmentFollows safety procedures when handling materials and running equipmentMaintains a safe and clean work environmentObtains assistance from supervisor or higher level production personnel if problems arise or normal instructions are insufficientWorks the hours and/or shift assigned and meets attendance requirements. Provide coverage on other shifts and weekends as needed, sometimes on short noticeQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Required. Associate\'s Degree or Technician Certification, preferred.3 - 5 years related experience, testing or quality control lab experience or applicable experience preferred.Good scientific knowledge. Understands and uses basic scientific principles to incorporate new techniques when needed. Proficiency with various types of procedures and equipment.Skilled in using effective project planning and implementation methods to achieve goals.Understanding of computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google and function specific software.Good analytical and problem solving skills.
