BDM (Recruitment Manager) @Velovox Infotech LLC Job Title: Trading Technical Architect Location: Houston, Texas, USA (Onsite) Contract: C2C/W2/1099 Must have: Energy Domain Experience Job Description Trading Technical Architect will partner closely with Trading Functional SME, Digital Team Application Services, Digital Team Data & Analytics, and PMO to deliver end-to-end CTRM capabilities. Strategic Digital Technology Architecture for Commodity Trading and Risk Management. Define CTRM digital architecture vision across physical and financial commodities (e.g., crude, LNG, metals, gas, power, etc.). Map trade lifecycle stages as it pertains to digital (deal capture → scheduling → settlement) to digital capabilities. Align CTRM strategy with trading models with technology roadmaps and capabilities: merchant trading, asset‑backed trading, speculative, and hedging. Integration Across the Trading Ecosystem: Design integration with market data providers (ICE, CME, Platts) for real‑time pricing and curves. Connect CTRM to logistics systems (e.g., pipeline nominations, vessel tracking, inventory). Ensure seamless flow to ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) for accounting, tax, and treasury. Risk Management Architecture: Enable real‑time risk dashboards for market risk (mark‑to‑market, VaR, stress testing), credit risk (counterparty exposure, limits, collateral), operational risk (trade errors, scheduling failures, system outages). Architect risk data pipelines for intraday updates, scenario modeling, and back‑testing. Integrate risk engines with pricing models, curves, and position data across books and commodities. Support hedge accounting workflows and risk mitigation strategies (e.g., swaps, options, futures). Governance, Controls & Compliance: Implement trade approval workflows with segregation of duties and audit trails. Ensure compliance with commodity‑specific regulations (e.g., CFTC, FERC, MAR, REMIT). Define data lineage and retention policies for trade, risk, and logistics data. Embed risk controls into system design: limit checks, exception handling, and alerting. Vendor Strategy & Platform Optimization: Assess CTRM based on commodity and risk fit. Lead vendor selection and PoCs for niche modules (e.g., emissions tracking, freight optimization). Innovation in Commodity Risk & Trading: Prototype blockchain for trade confirmations and provenance (e.g., biofuels, metals). Explore digital twins for supply chain modeling (e.g., refinery yield, storage constraints). Enable mobile and edge capabilities for field traders and schedulers.
