Supply Chain Consultant – Chemistry Manufacturing & Controls ZS is looking to hire a Decision Analytics Consultant in its Supply Chain and Manufacturing practice with experience in pharmaceutical drug development and tech transfer. The primary responsibility is to deliver projects in the pharmaceutical CMC development area for ZS clients, serving as a subject‑matter expert on drug substance and drug product manufacturing, managing teams and projects, and contributing to practice development. What You’ll Do Leverage quantitative skills to derive answers to clients’ ongoing business analytics and reporting questions. Work collaboratively with clients to ascertain their specific business information needs. Upskill on concepts relevant to solving client problems across modalities. Determine with clients which data may be best utilized for analysis. Evaluate, assess, and analyze the necessary data to provide solutions to the clients’ business needs. Communicate data results to clients, emphasizing the business answer rather than analytical processes. Gain immediate familiarity with client internal processes. Develop expertise within a client analytics area. Be available to clients during regular working hours. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s (and often graduate) degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar. 6‑8 years of experience in a pharmaceutical CMC organization. Hands‑on experience in one or more CMC functions such as Process Chemistry, Process Engineering, Formulation, and Analytical Chemistry. Knowledge of unit operations, processes, QbD, tech transfer, process validation, quality attributes, and regulatory milestones across pharma development. Understanding of data and information systems such as ELN, LIMS, ERP, and LCM/PLM systems. Understanding of CMC regulatory submission requirements. Ability to translate concepts across modalities. Experience presenting to senior leaders and executives with CMC backgrounds. Hands‑on data analytics experience with insight generation from various sources. Ability to lead multiple workstreams and demonstrate effective time and project management skills. Experience with at least one tech transfer, analytics, AI, and/or technology implementation in CMC preferred.
