Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – RELI Group, Inc. Job Details Location: Windsor Mill, MD (Hybrid / Remote with travel to Bethesda, MD as needed) Type: Full‑Time Degree: 4 Year Degree Salary: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per annum Description RELI Group partners with government agencies to solve complex challenges, improve public health, strengthen national security, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of government services. The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will join a DevOps team to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure for hosting applications and solutions across both on‑prem and cloud environments. The role focuses on creating scalable, resilient, and automated solutions that meet evolving customer needs. The position is full‑time remote with an option to work from the customer site in Bethesda, MD for local candidates or for special projects. Responsibilities Collaborate with team members and customers to design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS and Azure. Automate and codify best practices to enhance scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency. Apply second‑order thinking to assess short‑, medium‑, and long‑term impacts of solutions and decisions. Recommend and engineer CI/CD pipelines for code deployment, security scanning, and application health checks. Create documentation, diagrams, slides, and presentations to explain technical solutions to engineers and stakeholders. Support security audits by providing artifacts for NIST 800‑53 rev 5 controls and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) for cloud hosting services. Write code (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc.) from scratch to solve customer problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field. 6+ years of experience as a cloud engineer in a medium‑to‑large enterprise. Hands‑on experience in Windows and Linux administration, automation frameworks, patch management, monitoring, certificate management, and data protection/backup across the application development life cycle. Proficiency in AWS and Azure's core services, including compute, storage, databases, identity management, networking, security, and monitoring tools. Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (ARM templates, CloudFormation, Terraform) and contributing to large codebases. Design and build CI/CD pipelines. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Proficient with Git for version control. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
