Diese Position berichtet an: Data Center Project Execution Leader Your role and responsibilities : Do you want to help shape the future of energy conversion technologies for datacenters? At ABB’s global Center of Excellence for Solid State Transformers (SST), you will work on groundbreaking solutions that redefine how datacenters are powered, combining efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. The work model for the role is: onsite. Lead the system design, specification, testing, and qualification of SST main components and subsystems across different operating conditions. Drive projects from conceptual design and simulation to validation in our R&D labs. Collaborate closely with other R&D functions (control hardware/software, mechanics, verification & validation) to ensure seamless integration. Contribute to productization, qualification, and certification of SST system designs for commercial use. Work in close partnership with stakeholders across ABB: program managers, product architects, research scientists, and productization teams. Maintain and expand expertise in power electronics technologies, contributing to ABB’s IP and standards activities. Qualifications for the role Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Electronics and orientation toward High Power/ Medium Voltage applications. 5+ years of experience in power electronics system design and development. Strong skills in modeling, simulation, and system analysis using modern design tools. Hands‑on experience in testing, validation, and productization of power electronic solutions; medium‑voltage expertise is a strong plus. Interest in applied research and experimentation within an MV lab environment. Self‑driven and collaborative, motivated to work in a global, multicultural R&D team. Fluency in English; German is an advantage. Willingness to travel occasionally. What's in it for you?
