We are urgently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for our skilled nursing facility located in Manhattan. This is a direct hire position offering extensive benefits and growth potential.
Job Description:
Provide decisive leadership and guidance to ensure exemplary patient care and efficient nursing operations
Manage and supervise all nursing staffs, including nurses and nurse managers
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in strict adherence to regulatory standards
Oversee the implementation and execution of patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
Monitor and assess nursing care facility and performance metrics
Collaborate with doctors, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staffs
Reports to the Director of Nursing to convey resident status and other conditions related to the nursing department, and assumes all responsibilities of the DON in their absence
Performs any other necessary duties as assigned by the DON and the Administrator
Qualifications:
Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Manager/Assistant Director of Nursing
Has experience as a Charge Nurse in a skilled nursing facility, advancing to a management role (e.g. Supervisor)
Experience as MDS nurse is an advantage, but not preferred
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university preferred
In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations, hospice care, and healthcare systems
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient-centered care
