JOB SUMMARY FOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:


  • Hiring a Procurement Consultant for a leader in the financial industry.
  • Hybrid in Chicago, IL
  • $49-51/hour based on benefits



RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:


  • Manage contingent labor categories and collaborate with technology partners to develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies that drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Analyze industry and vendor data to provide insights and recommendations on trade-offs and risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead competitive bidding processes (e.g., RFx, eAuctions) and negotiate favorable contracts with vendors to secure optimal value and compliance.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning, supporting demand management and scalable contracts that address future enterprise needs.
  • Drive vendor quality and performance improvement initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert to enhance procurement processes and policies.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:


  • Experience working with large Technology Global Systems Integrators
  • A College or University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance is preferred but all majors will be considered.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Procurement or Strategic Sourcing.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST:


  • Analytical, project management and problem solving skills are required.
  • Preference for experience with Contingent Labor, Temporary Labor categories
  • Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. MS Office Suite). Must be willing to learn ERP and internal systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Synertrade, and Coupa) and vendor management systems (VMS) i.e. Beeline, Fieldglass, etc.
