DescriptionMt. Macrina Manor is a 133 bed, not for profit, skilled nursing facility that has served Southwestern Pennsylvania since 1971. The grounds are located approximately one hour south of Pittsburgh in a scenic, peaceful rural area directly off Route 40 in Uniontown. The facility offers 24 hour nursing care, rehabilitative services, memory care, and pastoral care to all denominations. Our staff continues the mission of the Sisters of providing joyous, compassionate care that preserves the human dignity of all that we serve.Due to regulatory requirement by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid services, a COVID-19 vaccination is required and considered a condition of employment. To be eligible for hire with Mt. Macrina Manor, prospective employees must be fully vaccinated at time of orientation. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-shot series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the J&J/Janssen vaccine.General Description:The Floor Technician performs various routine building operational tasks and environmental project work as needed or required by schedule or work orders to ensure safety and comfort of residents, visitors and employees.Essential Duties: •Strip, re-finish, and buff hard floors.•Scrub and maintain carpeted floors.•Housekeeping duties in very high traffic places.•Supports outside activities sponsored by the nursing home.•Works as a team member to complete projects.•Actively participates in the Resident Dining Program after completing the Feeding Assistant Training Program unless already licensed or certified in an appropriate field. •Any and all other duties as assigned.•Customer Service: Demonstrate an understanding and puts into practice excellent customer service.Compliance: Demonstrate commitment to operating in accordance with its mission, vision, and values. Requirements and Qualifications:Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.Previous experience of at least six months in order to have gained the ability to strip, wax and buff floors.•Must have the ability to be courteous, kind, respectful and understanding when dealing with staff, residents, patients, and their families and other visitors.•Ability to read, write and follow oral or written instructions so that the assigned task may be carried out independently by use of the equipment instruction folder and written work order instructions. Also able to write a narrative description of the work that has been completed and fills in the time ticket correctly.•Employee is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and to talk and hear. Is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
