Successful candidates must be comfortable working with multiple clients both virtually and on‑site and will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees regularly. Responsibilities Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission Provide financial reporting for management and board decision making and presentations Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices Conduct transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain workpapers Analyze and visualize data, budgeting and forecasting Manage grant reporting, allocations, and funder reporting Prepare for and manage annual audit Provide client and staff training opportunities Qualifications Passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance 5–7 years of accounting experience Experience working in a remote environment preferred Ability to manage and lead multiple clients independently and respond timely Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks and electronic bill pay systems Non‑profit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus CPA certification is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Customized cover letter explaining interest and qualifications for this role is required YPTC Offers Nationally recognized Best Place to Work Mission‑driven purpose serving nonprofit organizations Culture of support enabling staff to succeed Fastest growing accounting firms in the U.S. with unlimited professional growth opportunities Competitive compensation Work‑life balance with full and part‑time positions available Standard 35‑hour full‑time work week, with eligibility for paid overtime for non‑exempt employees For full‑time positions: 4 weeks paid time off (generally 100 hours vacation), minimum 40 hours sick time, 9 paid holidays, full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, supplementary options), generous employer contributions to medical premiums For part‑time positions: pro‑rated vacation and sick time, eligibility for supplementary benefits 401(k) retirement plan with employer match Ample professional development opportunities and reimbursement Company‑provided laptop and technology stipend Hybrid work environment Starting hourly rate is $50 to $65 per hour for this non‑exempt position.
