We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Controls Engineer to join our team at GE Vernova Grid Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems engineering, with a focus on power transmission systems. The Lead Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for our Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Dvelopper des algorithmes de contrle et des logiciels pour le contrle et la surveillance en temps rel des systmes d’nergie. Collaborer avec des quipes transversales, y compris des ingnieurs lectriciens, des dveloppeurs de logiciels et des chefs de projet, pour assurer l’intgration russie des systmes de contrle. Effectuer la modlisation, la simulation et l’analyse des systmes pour optimiser les stratgies de contrle et amliorer les performances du systme. Fournir des conseils techniques et un mentorat aux ingnieurs juniors et soutenir leur dveloppement professionnel. Participer aux tests et la validation des systmes de contrle, en veillant la conformit avec les normes et rglementations de l’industrie. Dpanner et rsoudre les problmes techniques complexes lis aux systmes de contrle. Se tenir au courant des dernires avances en ingnierie des systmes de contrle et en technologie des systmes d’nergie. Prparer la documentation technique, y compris les spcifications de conception, les plans de test et les manuels d’utilisation. Soutenir les activits de dveloppement commercial en fournissant une expertise technique et en contribuant au dveloppement de propositions. Qualifications requises Baccalaurat en gnie lectrique, en ingnierie des systmes de contrle ou dans un domaine connexe. Une matrise est prfre. Minimum de 8 ans d’exprience en ingnierie des systmes de contrle, avec une spcialisation dans les systmes de transmission d’nergie. Exprience avre dans la direction et la gestion russie de projets d’ingnierie. Capacit s’adapter aux priorits changeantes et travailler dans un environnement dynamique et rapide. Une licence d’Ingnieur Professionnel (PE) est un plus. Essential Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of control systems for FACTS devices, including power generation, transmission, and distribution. Develop control algorithms and software for real-time control and monitoring of power systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful integration of control systems. Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize control strategies and improve system performance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development. Participate in the testing and validation of control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to control systems. Stay current with the latest advancements in control systems engineering and power systems technology. Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Support business development activities by providing technical expertise and contributing to proposal development. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, control systems engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on power transmission systems. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $88,600.00 and $147,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
