Principal Data Loss Prevention Security Engineer Location: Nashville, TNBase pay: $106,300 - $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Job Description As a vital member of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) Security Operations Organization, you will be at the forefront of protecting Oracle’s cloud and enterprise environments from external adversaries and insider threats. Our team specializes in threat hunting, incident response, digital forensics, and data loss prevention across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze user activity to detect suspicious patterns or potential insider threats. Build and maintain detection and response systems, including automated tools and analytics. Participate with the DLP team to enhance data loss prevention strategies, deploying and tuning DLP technologies. Conduct investigations of security incidents, collaborating with legal, HR, and compliance teams. Document and manage cases from detection through resolution. Support development and delivery of targeted security awareness training. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as HR, legal, compliance, and engineering. Proactively hunt for evidence of threats by analyzing logs and behavioral analytics. Recommend improvements to detection tools, response processes, and playbooks. Prepare reports and metrics on insider threat trends and security posture. Qualifications Proven experience in security engineering, threat hunting, incident response, and data loss prevention. Strong sense of ownership, proactive and accountable, able to manage high-pressure situations. Experience working with SOC, digital forensics, incident response, and engineering teams. Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS security best practices.
