Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Patient Advocate (Medical Office Specialist) for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now.

Memorial Surgical & Bariatric Care provides above and beyond care, specializing in obesity medicine. When our patients are interested in bariatric surgery, they are given an extensive checklist to complete prior to bariatric surgery. The role of the patient advocate is to assist them in their pre-operative journey.

What you will do in this role:

You will correspond with patients via written and verbal communication types

You will fax clearance requests and facilitate relationships with partnering offices

You will maintain a database of patients, detailing where they are in their pre-operative journey

You file, scan, and complete other clerical tasks

What Qualifications you will need:

One year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred

Experience using an EHR system is highly preferred
