Regional Anesthesiologist – Washington, DC (Signing Bonus $50,000)MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology (MMGA) is seeking a full‑time anesthesiologist with expertise in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine to be based at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. The practice performs over 3,400 regional anesthesia blocks per year for burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma surgeries.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform regional anesthesia blocks for a wide array of procedures, including upper and lower extremity, chest wall, and abdominal cases.Place peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheters for acute pain management.Collaborate with surgical teams across more than 40 sites including 30+ ORs, endoscopy, EP lab, and labor & delivery.Participate in teaching as part of the department’s residency and advanced training programs.QualificationsMedical Degree (MD/DO), board‑eligible or board‑certified in anesthesia.Regional anesthesia fellowship or significant experience in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine.Experience performing blocks such as interscalene, supraclavicular, infraclavicular, axillary, intercostobrachial, femoral, adductor canal, sciatic, PENG, iPACK, fascia iliaca, lateral femoral cutaneous, parasternal, PECS, paravertebral, etc.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.BenefitsCompetitive base salary with additional guaranteed incentive.Sign‑on bonus.8 weeks paid time off.Retirement benefits with employer match.Annual CME stipend.All licensure‑related expenses and staff fees reimbursed.Various health plans and wellness services.CompensationSalary range: $430,000 – $460,000 annually; additional incentives provided.Equal Opportunity StatementMedStar Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages all qualified caregivers to apply.
