Come join our amazing team and work remote from homeThe Bankruptcy Manager directs, plans, manages the staff and operations of the Bankruptcy Department to minimize potential losses and ensure adherence to investor requirements. Monitor bankruptcy vendors to ensure adherence to all service level agreements. Conducts all activities in adherence to all applicable investor timelines and in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $71,000-$90,000 + Annual Bonus.What you’ll do:Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.Able to “fill in” for Director if and when needed. Able to understand core Director level responsibilities and continues to enhance knowledge and understand of these essential skills.Handle escalated personal issues with human resources as needed.Develop Supervisors and Team Leads to begin and continue to strengthen their soft-skills related to problem-solving, communication, leadership, collaboration, influence, judgement and job-specific skills.Own response(s) to Quality Control audit findings and implementing controls to prevent future findings from recurring. Ensure Policy and Procedures/Job Aids & Desk Guides are up to date and accurate.Partner with peers to resolve gaps in interrelated processes.Responsible for conducting interviews and providing recommendations to hire to Sr. department leaders.Monitor team(s) performance and provide feedback at minimum twice per month with the Supervisor(s).Handle escalated bankruptcy cases and work with attorney firms on litigated matters. Escalate all recommendations to Sr. leaders within bankruptcy department if warranted.Conduct regular team meetings and huddles to maintain communication across the bankruptcy department. Provide Agenda prior to meeting and distribute a high level summary of topics discussed during the huddle.Recommend individual Goals/Targets to Sr. leadership. As mentioned in the 7th bullet point above meet to discuss with Supervisors (their individual and team(s) performance, quality, judgement, problem-solving skills, and teamwork, etc.).Identify process gaps within the bankruptcy processes and identify and implement solutions. At minimal elevate items of concern to Sr. leaders to determine if warrants additional resources or expands to a project initiative.Ensure associates/team receives proper training to effectively and efficiently perform their job duties.Function as the subject matter expert when responding to internal and external audits with investors.Signing authority to sign bankruptcy documents on behalf of the company.Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.What you’ll need:High school diploma or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferredFive plus years’ experience in a bankruptcy role in the banking, finance or mortgage industry preferredThree plus years in a supervisory or management roleOur Company:Carrington Mortgage Services is part of The Carrington Companies, which provide integrated, full-lifecycle mortgage loan servicing assistance to borrowers and investors, delivering exceptional customer care and programs that support borrowers and their homeownership experience.
