The assignment would be teaching CNA/PCA+ to high school (secondary students) located at the Farmington Satellite Campus. This semester also includes at least 24 hours of mandatory clinical time in local facilities that will be scheduled and supervised by the instructor. The curriculum is determined by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care.Prepares materials for instruction and presentations.Explains subject concepts utilizing a variety of teaching methods and strategies.Develops classroom management plan and shares with the students.Provides classroom instruction on demonstrating skills, assess student progress, and correct any unsafe or poor techniques.Chaperones events outside the classroom.Keeps up with daily attendance.Meets deadlines for signed documents and attends all meetings required by the NWACC Early College Experience and NWTI Secondary Career Center Programs.Maintains grade sheets for documentation and utilization when submitting grades to EagleNet and the NWTI Portal.Attends or holds Advisory Meetings with agenda, minutes, and sign in sheet each semester as required by Arkansas Department of Career Education.Maintains records of student activities and certifications in accordance with laws and school policies.Rate of pay: $4,168 per semesterRequired QualificationsInstructor needs to be a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of two (2) years nursing experience including at least one (1) year of long-term care nursing services within the last five (5) years. Experience may include, but is not limited to, employment in a nursing assistant education program or supervision of nursing students in a nursing facility or unit, geriatrics department (excluding geriatric psychiatry), long-term acute care hospital, home care, hospice care or other long-term care settingKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus. Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority. Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority. Ability to use an on-line platform.
