**CNC-Controls-Robotics Technician**

As an **Automation Technician** , you will perform maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment, PLC controlled equipment, and robotic cells to produce wood structures. You will perform preventive maintenance on the equipment including periodic calibration. You will learn the programmability aspect of each machine using specified HMI prompts and train machine operators on their use. You will lead all communications with supplier OEMs to troubleshoot downtimes and order spare parts. Functional experience with wood working CNC equipment, PLC Programs, HMI's, robotics, and networking. Ability to debug complex machinery applications.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Attend training classes to learn about the operational and maintenance of purchased equipment.

+ Setup and operate a host of CNC machinery to produce wood parts and structures.

+ Setup and operate robotic cells to produce wood components.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Operate HMI screens for a variety of equipment and train operators on usage modes.

+ Communicate with suppliers and guide their technicians to resolve breakdowns and downtimes.

+ Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs.

+ Perform and record preventive maintenance on all equipment using state of the art CMM program for traceability.

+ Manage equipment spare parts.

+ Work with suppliers to perform annual maintenance requirements.

+ Build maintenance area, workbenches and acquire necessary tools to perform required repairs.

**Qualifications**

+ Associate degree in mechatronics, robotics, or CNC equipment, or equivalent

+ 4+ years of manufacturing or relevant electrical experience

+ Knowledge of Safety standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA).

+ Functional knowledge in lock-out-tag-out procedures.

+ Knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79, National Electric Code, UL508A)

+ Experience in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs.

+ Experience in troubleshooting industrial 6-axis Fanuc robots.

+ Knowledge of communications between machine PLCs and database systems for data tracking.
