Job Summary: The Buyer will be instrumental in sourcing scrap metal materials, developing customer accounts, and driving sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust background in the metals recycling industry and a proven track record in customer development and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain customer accounts, exploring potential growth opportunities.
• Source scrap metal materials, negotiate specifications, and settle payment terms effectively.
• Achieve volume and margin goals consistently.
• Foster a culture of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation across all departments.
• Adhere to and enforce all company safety rules and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues related to pricing, quality, transportation, and safety.
• Maintain accurate records and updates of sales activities including weekly sales tracking reports.
• Conduct thorough market analysis and share insights with the team to guide business strategies.

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Metals Recycling Industry as a Buyer.
• Demonstrated success in customer development, contract negotiation, and management of industrial or wholesale accounts.
• In-depth knowledge of recycled materials, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management, communication, cold-calling, and negotiation skills.
