Job Description: Director of Anesthesiology A premier surgical center in Brooklyn, New York, seeks an experienced, board-certified Anesthesiologist to serve as Director of Anesthesiology. This dynamic role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership, overseeing anesthesia services for gastrointestinal (GI) and eye procedures in a vibrant urban setting. Candidates will not perform eye blocks, allowing focus on critical care aspects. Key Responsibilities Administer safe, effective anesthesia for 10-20 daily GI and eye cases, ensuring patient comfort, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing thorough patient education. Lead the anesthesiology department, setting high standards for care, developing policies, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff to streamline operations and enhance patient experiences, balancing independent clinical work with team leadership. The position offers a competitive salary of $550,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, robust retirement plans, generous paid time off, and professional development opportunities to support career growth and well-being. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, with no calls, nights, or weekends, ensuring an excellent work-life balance. Requirements Board-certified Anesthesiologist.
