Sentinel MS&A Senior Software Engineer

Engineer Or Computer Scientist For Sentinel Program Seeking an exceptional Engineer or Computer Scientist for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the Sentinel program, the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). As a critical member of the Flight Systems Branch, this position leverages technical skills towards the development of a six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) model to evaluate flight performance of the Sentinel missile. The successful candidate will have a strong programming background and will be able to assist the Air Force in the creation, review, and assessment of documents, drawings, briefings, engineering analysis, and various other tasks in support of the deployment of the Sentinel weapon system. The ideal candidate can apply extensive engineering knowledge to ensure and advance principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques; ensure accuracy and completeness of content, recommending corrective actions and providing support to programmatic and technical briefings, reports and other related documentation; and be able to plan, coordinate, execute, and complete tasks related to engineering processes, protocols, and implementation for the Sentinel System Program Office. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Science 7+ years of industry experience (5+ years with a graduate degree) Understanding of agile software development practices and procedures Developer level proficiency with configuration management tools such as Git Developer level proficiency with coding languages such as C++ and Python Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills 7 years of progressive experience in systems design, integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes U.S. Citizenship with an active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years with the ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance Experience with Department of Defense projects, DoD Acquisition Lifecycle, and/or ICBM weapon system Experience with 6-degree-of-freedom simulations Model development of rocket or missile systems Experience with optimization algorithms and analyzing large data sets Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
