Associate Occupational Health Nurse – Part Time Join UL Solutions as a part‑time Associate Occupational Health Nurse focused on occupational health and safety. Responsibilities Program Development: Develop and administer health services activities for a specific office or region; provide medical input and consulting services to UL management; plan and implement health services initiatives. Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide medical input and consulting services to UL management at a specific site or region; administer and coordinate the Medical Surveillance program (hearing conservation, respiratory, etc.) and ensure OSHA medical surveillance regulatory requirements are met; support the administration of the Workers Compensation benefits program. Other Duties: Provide basic medical treatment for workplace injuries and respond to medical emergencies; assist with managing the Health Services budget; read and follow the UL Solutions Business Code of Conduct and Physical Security and Cybersecurity practices. Qualifications University degree (equivalent to Bachelor’s) in Nursing or a related discipline. State licensed Registered Nurse (RN). 3 or more years of industrial health nursing experience, including managerial skills and Workers Compensation case management. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified. Physical Demands Periodic travel by car and/or airline to other UL Solutions sites (up to 10‑15% of the time) with flexibility to work non‑traditional business hours as needed. Frequent use of computers and office equipment. Ability to stand and walk extensively on concrete floors for up to 2‑hour periods, several times a day. Ability to move safely over uneven terrain, including stairs, ladders and scaffolding. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (assisted or unassisted) and perform pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, stooping and working in tight spaces in both hot and cold environments. Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond quickly. Ability to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required. Location & Hours This is a part‑time position onsite at our Northbrook, IL facility. Travel required: up to 10‑15% of the time to other UL Solutions sites. Flexibility to work non‑traditional business hours as needed. Benefits Estimated salary range: $40,000 – $50,000. Eligible for an annual bonus target payout of 10% of base salary. Paid time off: 15 days vacation, 12 holiday days (including floating holidays), and 72 hours of sick time.
