Assign tasks and making sure carpentry jobs are completed in due time while work is performed according to Company standards. Discipline, mentor and monitor performance of Foreman.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Supervise all field production activities
  • Provide assistance to the Foreman in planning the job, ordering materials and manpower
  • Establish project goals and monitor the success of the goals throughout the project
  • Monitor labor efficiencies, project the labor needs for the duration of the project
  • Achieve Company productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log and communicating with other key project personnel
  • Monitor material cost and storage
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Foreman
  • Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
  • Ensure that the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, management, crew members, etc.
  • Coordinate subcontractors for Superintendent
  • Perform safety audits and implement safety program
  • Ensure compliance with all work completed, policies and procedures
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a General Foreman Carpenter or in a similar role
  • Must hold a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if required by the applicable state, city or county)
  • Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength, stamina, and be detailed orientated
  • Proficient in basic computer programs including but not limited to excel, word, blue beam, BIM 360 field and field
  • Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
  • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
  • Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions
  • Uphold MD Builders Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion and Excellence at all times
  • Adhere to all OSHA and MD Builders safety practices and procedures
  • Support activities at all MD Builders job-sites as directed

Base [salary/pay] range for this role is listed below:

$36.00 - $38.00
