Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth by managing accounts payable processes and ensuring accurate and timely payments. The role involves working closely with the Controller to implement and refine processes, tackle cleanup tasks, and handle a variety of accounting functions in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process approximately 100 invoices weekly across 40 active projects. Manage different types of entries, including subcontractor bills, taxes, and utilities, using systems like Bill.com and online portals. Research and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in all AP‑related tasks. Respond promptly and professionally to email and phone inquiries. Maintain and improve accounts payable processes as needed. Provide support with potential future tasks, such as loan draws. Qualifications Must‑Haves Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to research and resolve issues independently. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including professional email and phone etiquette. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks.
