Employment Type: Full timeShift: Description:Provides assistance as necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, equipment, and provides retraction under the direction of the surgeon.What the Surgical Technologist Will Do:Applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique relative to all procedures.Applies principles of asepsis and infection prevention.Identifies breaches in aseptic technique and implements interventions for resolution.Assists with position, prepping and draping of the patient.Provides assistance as necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating, and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, equipment, and provides retraction under the direction of the surgeon.Assists with exposure through appropriate use of instruments, retractors, suctioning and sponging.What the Surgical Technologist Will Need:Completion of a Surgical Technologist program; or six years of surgical tech experienceCertified Surgical Technologist preferredFamiliarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.What the Surgical Technologist Will work:Full timeVarious shifts available (8, 10, or 12 hour)Our CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
