Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our privately-owned, outpatient clinic in Perry, MI. The Physical Therapist will play a key role in providing comprehensive rehabilitative services to patients, promoting recovery, mobility, and improved quality of life. Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Evaluation and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical history, functional abilities, and physical impairments.
- Perform objective assessments of patients' strength, range of motion, balance, posture, and mobility.
- Establish individualized treatment goals and plans based on assessment findings and patients' needs.

2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's diagnosis, condition, and rehabilitation goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities, including exercise, manual therapy, therapeutic activities, and patient education.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and response to therapy.

3. Therapeutic Interventions and Techniques:
- Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques to mobilize joints, alleviate pain, and improve musculoskeletal function.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
- Use therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy to facilitate healing and pain relief.

4. Patient Education and Home Exercise Programs:
- Educate patients and their caregivers on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and self-management strategies.
- Teach patients how to perform prescribed exercises and activities safely and effectively at home.
- Empower patients to take an active role in their recovery and rehabilitation process.

5. Progress Monitoring and Documentation:
- Monitor patients' progress and functional outcomes throughout the course of treatment.
- Document treatment interventions, patient responses, and progress notes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain thorough and organized patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.

6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with referring providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

7. Professional Development:
- Stay current with advances in physical therapy practice, research, and evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in continuing education courses, workshops, and professional conferences to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Pursue specialty certifications or advanced training in areas of interest within the field of physical therapy.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an APTA accredited physical therapy program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Michigan.
- CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.
