ABC Home & Commercial Services is looking for a HVAC Technician for our commercial department.

ABC is the largest privately owned pest control and lawn service company in the state of Texas and we pride ourselves in treating our employees like family and not a number, like the other guys.

The HVAC Technician for our commercial department will provide outstanding sales and service to Commercial Customers. HVAC and Refrigeration sales, installation, repair and maintenance of systems within ABC guidelines.

HVAC Technician is a maintenance professional responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems for various businesses. They’re typically responsible for keeping this equipment clean, fixed and maintained for customers. HVAC Technicians work to locate any dangerous features on an HVAC system that could be harmful to the users’ health. They’ll also regularly clean, adjust and repair these systems, along with any warranty maintenance. HVAC Technicians on duty are responsible for responding to emergency calls promptly and providing routine maintenance to help fix the HVAC system quickly for customers. They’ll take note of each time they perform HVAC maintenance and are responsible for logging it for their business’ records.

Duties:

Diagnose HVAC and Refrigeration problems using blueprints and diagrams
Diagnose a walk-in freezer/cooler, reach-in freezer/cooler, ice machine, make-up air, exhaust, and commercial HVAC units
Install and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
Inspect, troubleshoot and conduct test
Pinpoint problems using a range of testing devices
Plan the layout and installation of HVAC equipment, and fixtures
Comply with all safety standards and regulations of the TACLA and/or TACLB
Supervisor and train others in the installation and repair of components
Maintain safe work habits by following company standards
Company sponsored and assigned continuing education classes
Interface with employees at different levels
Maintain professional appearance
Maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements:

Requirements:

Ability to accurately diagnose a walk-in freezer/cooler, reach-in freezer/cooler, ice machine, make-up air, exhaust, and commercial HVAC units
Ability to work on-call
Color Vision
Must pass background check
Must pass drug test
Authorized to work in the United States

Good Communication (written/oral)
Excellent attendance record.
Computer Skills required
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Problem Solver

Education Training

High School education is required, some college a plus
Following on-the-job training and the requirements

Physical Demands:

Ability to drive a vehicle.

Repetitive twisting bending
