OverviewMaul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) is looking for a full-time Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Seattle, WA team. A general curiosity about land use planning, brownfield redevelopment, or industrial cleanup is also a great fit for the types of projects we tackle.As a Civil or Environmental Engineer, you willLead and support the development of engineering designs, specifications, and permitting documentsAssist with contractor bidding and selectionParticipate in construction oversight and field work, including quality control and quantity calculationsPrepare technical reports and proposalsManage your own projects and contribute to larger efforts, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communicationsReview technical work for accuracy and consistencyWork directly with clients and regulatory agenciesCollaborate across disciplines-sometimes leading, sometimes supportingSeek input when needed and share knowledge to help others growTo thrive in this role, you must haveBS in civil engineering or environmental engineeringEIT or PE license (or ability to obtain in Washington within 3 months)At least 5 years of relevant experience and continued professional developmentInterest in working in the consulting environment on projects involving site development design, brownfield redevelopment, environmental remediation design and stormwater system and treatment designStrong organizational, technical, and communication skillsProficiency in Civil 3D, MS Word, and ExcelAbility to effectively work as a team member, both individually and collaboratively, delivering a project successfully to a client within the scope, schedule, budgetA valid driver\'s license and willingness to do occasional field workAbility to perform physical tasks in outdoor environmentsA plus if you haveExperience in industrial stormwater design or utility grading plansExperience in construction management or oversightInterest in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses40-hour HAZWOPER with current refresherHands-on project management experienceWho we areMFA is an engineering and environmental company improving our communities through our work with our clients.
