The DevX organization leads our API ecosystem and developer platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and innovative API solutions that power customer applications, financial decisioning, and AI services across Capital One. Responsibilities Engage stakeholders (Business, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Cyber) to voice customer needs, identify new capabilities, and define product features. Set strategic vision and drive product roadmaps, updating leadership and stakeholders regularly. Partner with engineering leadership across teams, fostering collaboration and alignment. Own the product management practice within the organization, setting expectations and driving continuous improvement. Operationalize product metrics and build business cases for new investment. Influence senior stakeholders to adopt products, building buy‑in and trust by demonstrating business impact. Qualifications Technical knowledge to propose and influence new product and feature ideas, balancing developer enablement with API governance and security. Experience forming business strategy and translating it into enterprise‑grade software solutions. Strong understanding of API and cloud operations, articulating opportunities and trade‑offs across an API management ecosystem. Awareness of latest developments, trends, and best practices in API management and application integration. Experience delivering products in a fast‑paced, distributed, ambiguous environment. Analytical and quantitative skills, using data and metrics to build business cases. Demonstrated experience mentoring, empowering, and elevating product teams. Strong verbal and written communication; experience engaging and influencing senior executives. Strong work ethic, team player, willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done. Basic Qualifications At least 7 years of experience working in Product Management. Currently holding or pursuing one of the following degrees, expected to be completed by start date: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems). Master’s Degree or MBA with a quantitative concentration in a similar field. Preferred Qualifications People‑leadership experience with product management teams. Experience with API platforms or API management in an enterprise environment. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or similar familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. Compensation & Benefits Salary ranges by location: Chicago, IL: $205,400 – $234,400 McLean, VA: $226,000 – $257,900 New York, NY: $246,500 – $281,300 Plano, TX: $205,400 – $234,400 Richmond, VA: $205,400 – $234,400 San Francisco, CA: $246,500 – $281,300 Performance‑based incentive compensation (cash bonus and/or long‑term incentives).
