Paramedic position requires providing emergency medical services, supervising field operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care from an ambulance, conducting emergency medical services and responding to emergency calls.
  • Supervise day-to-day field operations, ensuring adequate zone coverage and compliance with company policies and protocols.
  • Serve as liaison for field staff to other departments, including Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, and Communication.
  • Prepare reports on mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, exposures, daily shift activities, and other incidents.
  • Ensure assigned employees adhere to company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Assist in evaluating employee performance, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring a high level of professionalism.
  • Manage short-term scheduling needs, ensure crews' TEFs are turned in, and deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty.
  • Perform daily duties, including truck cleaning, station duties, check-offs, and initial investigations.
  • Respond to emergency calls, assume command, and coordinate ambulance transport in the event of a Mass Casualty Incident.
  • Attend regular planning meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred.
  • State-specific Paramedic license in good standing / current NREMT certification if required by state.
  • Current certifications: CPR: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS.
  • Valid state-specific Drivers license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
