Proposal Content Specialist Federated Hermes Career Opportunity #9473 Boston, MA or Pittsburgh, PAHybrid Location (office/remote) Federated Hermes is seeking a strategic and detail-orientedProposal Content Specialist to lead the development, governance, and optimization of proposal content within the Responsive content management system (formerly RFPIO). This role is critical to ensuring our Proposal Team has access to accurate, compelling, and up-to-date content that supports efficient and high-quality RFP, RFI and DDQ responses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content strategy, proposal development, and knowledge management, with hands‑on experience managing content libraries in Responsive or similar platforms. What You’ll Do: Own the content lifecycle within Responsive, including creation, review, approval, tagging, archiving, and sunsetting of content Develop and enforce content governance policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance Collaborate with subject matter experts, Proposal Team members, and other business units to ensure content reflects current offerings, messaging, and consistent brand voice Serve as the primary administrator for Responsive, managing user roles, permissions, and workflows Monitor system usage and performance, identifying opportunities for automation using AI, improved tagging, searchability, etc. Lead training and onboarding for new users and provide ongoing support to the Proposal Team Write, edit, and curate high-quality, reusable content tailored for RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, consultant databases, and other sales enablement documents Ensure content is aligned with corporate messaging, marketing collateral, legal/compliance standards, and client needs Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Product, and SMEs to source and validate content Track content usage, gaps, and performance metrics to inform updates and improvements Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on content health and system adoption Collaborate regularly with Proposal Team management to ensure system is working for the team and make continual process enhancements where necessary The Expertise We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field; related experience also considered in lieu of degree Minimum 3 years of experience in proposal writing, content management, or knowledge management Minimum 2 years of experience managing content in Responsive or a similar RFP platform Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills required Strong understanding of the proposal development lifecycle and sales enablement content required Must have experience with metadata, tagging, and taxonomy best practices Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment required Our Investment in You We believe our employees are our most important asset Therefore, we offer benefits programs designed to help you and your family thrive, training programs to advance your professional development and opportunities for you to give back to the community. The annual base salary range for the position is $62,560-$112,610. In determining salary multiple factors will be taken into consideration such as primary work location, experience, education and skill set.
