Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to architect and scale our infrastructure ecosystem in a demanding, rapid‑iteration environment. As a key member of the Core Engineering team, you will have significant autonomy to make architectural decisions and drive initiatives across service reliability, data pipelines, and security for our large‑scale medical AI platform. Responsibilities Service Ownership: Own and operate key backend production services, ensuring high performance and availability Design & Development: Design, implement, and operate new backend services and APIs Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain and optimize key backend resources, such as databases, caches, and load balancers, utilizing Terraform or similar IaC tooling CI/CD & DevOps: Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and institute technological and operational processes to improve site reliability Data Integrity: Design and secure data pipelines that handle sensitive medical data at scale Cross‑Functional Strategy: Coordinate with fellow software engineers, ML engineers, and product designers to determine and execute on platform requirements, contributing to ongoing company product discussions On‑Call: Participate in an on‑call escalation rotation (approximately one week per month, daylight only) Requirements Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer or Platform Backend Engineer, ideally at a growth‑stage company or large‑scale tech company Backend Expertise: A proven track record of building and scaling complex production systems Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with Google Cloud (GCP) DevOps & Tools: Experience with DevOps tooling such as Docker and packaging for Python/JavaScript System Design: Thinks deeply about system design, performance optimization, and architectural decisions Problem‑Solving: Energized by the challenge of building healthcare infrastructure that must be both highly innovative and extremely reliable Benefits Impact: Direct, high‑visibility impact on a mission‑critical medical AI platform that is leveraged by healthcare providers worldwide Compensation: Highly competitive salary ($200,000 - $250,000) and competitive equity package Career Growth: Significant autonomy and architectural scope, allowing you to drive initiatives and work directly with engineering leadership Work Policy: Hybrid work model, based out of our new office in Miami, FL Visa Support: Visa sponsorship is available for this position Team: Join a talented, focused startup team backed by investors including Sequoia Capital and Mayo Clinic, led by a founder with a proven track record of billion‑dollar AI ventures Due to the high volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all candidates.
