The Senior Software Engineer will execute on all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the e-commerce application. You will have opportunities to integrate AI/ML solutions into our e-commerce platform, enhance user experiences, and optimize business processes through intelligent automation and data-driven insights. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with team members, mentor others, and model engineering best practices. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering, Commerce Services.ResponsibilitiesWrite high-quality code, primarily in C#, that is easy to maintain and testMaintain and develop automated tests for your codeParticipate in an Agile environment using Scrum, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and version control (Git)Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitmentsDiagnose and resolve production issues and maintain code as neededSet up telemetry and monitoring on production applications and servicesBe responsible for complete backend development of new featuresCollaborate with product and data teams to identify opportunities for AI/ML integration and deliver intelligent features within the e-commerce applicationWhat you bringBasicBS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience8+ years of professional experience building scalable and testable APIs in C#/.NET or JavaHands-on experience integrating with internal and external APIsPreferredStrong object-oriented design and programming skillsUnderstanding of AI and foundational conceptsExperience with GraphQLExperience with NoSQLKnowledge of Azure, Azure DevOps, Docker, and KubernetesExperience designing and implementing high-performance microservices using REST/gRPCExperience with product development and building large-scale web applicationsHigh-quality, reusable code for components used across the productExperience designing and developing highly scalable consumer-facing APIsFamiliarity with frontend web technologiesFamiliarity with SaaS eCommerce and multichannel web marketingEnthusiasm for AI technologies and leveraging AI/ML in product developmentCompensation & BenefitsWage transparency: Pay based on location and knowledge/experience. California: $157,500.00 - $254,350.00 base; Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro): $151,200.00 - $222,450.00 base.
