HealthDrive is seeking a Medical Director/Collaborating Physician to manage new admissions and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners caring for skilled nursing residents in both sub‑acute rehab and long‑term care units. The Medical Director will promote good health practices and work collaboratively as a member of the medical staff. This is an on‑site position (not remote). HealthDrive Can Offer You Flexible schedules No nights, weekends, or on‑calls Fully covered Malpractice Insurance Competitive compensation Administrative and billing/coding support services Responsibilities Serve as the Medical Director or Attending Physician for skilled nursing facilities/rehabs and participate in administrative and quality initiatives. Attend monthly quality assurance/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide guidance to facility staff, oversee clinical care plans, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and supervise facility clinical staff. Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to manage daily care for each resident. Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs/Rehabs. Qualifications Board Certified or Board eligible. Valid medical license in the state of practice. Valid DEA/Controlled Substance License in the state of practice. Completed a U.S. residency program. MD or DO from an accredited institution. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with on‑site staff. Effective communication skills with the geriatric or Medicare population. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other health‑care related software. Physical Requirements Move inside the facility frequently, walk briskly to see patients and meet staff. Document in an EMR system using a laptop computer. Ascend and descend stairs. Access items that may be below knee or above shoulder. Communicate effectively in English. Lift at least 25 pounds. Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
