Description Director of Operations Scope of the role The successful candidate will oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and operational costs are minimized. This is a highly visible people and workflow management role within the organization that requires leadership by example. The role has ownership of the sales, inventory & operations planning (SIOP) process to align demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations to ensure on-time delivery (OTD), scrap rate, and site profitability KPIs are achieved. The Director of Operations analyzes and interprets ERP data from multiple sources to lead periodic latest best estimate (LBE) reviews and facilitate decision-making related to revenue forecasting, inventory levels and product scheduling. Responsibilities Develop and execute manufacturing strategies, set production goals, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively. Manage, train, and develop a manufacturing team, fostering a positive and high-performance environment while overseeing hiring and performance reviews. Own the SIOP process by coordinating and facilitating periodic LBE meetings and ensuring all stakeholders from Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain are actively involved and aligned on plans. Drill down into operations challenges to identify root causes and develop solutions while meeting production schedule commitments. Manage backlog and demand planning by integrating ERP data and analyzing historical sales and customer forecasts. Drive supply planning, translating demand plans into production schedules and ensure optimal resource utilization, including inventory management, manufacturing capacity planning, and material availability. Integrate data from multiple sources to improve forecasting accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Harmonize sales forecasts and operational plans to ensure realistic and achievable targets. Collaborate with the work area supervisors to optimize production schedules and capacity utilization considering equipment capabilities, material availability, and labor constraints. Establish inventory targets and throttle inventory levels for RM, WIP, and FG. Team with supply chain managers to formulate safety stock strategies based on supply chain risks and market demand. Develop and maintain KPIs for forecast accuracy, OTD, inventory turns, customer service levels, and operational efficiency. Lead continuous improvement efforts using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve yields. Promotes and abides by G&H Company values with a commitment to Health & Safety and following Company ISO/AS standards Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment with direct labor workforce management. Demonstrated performance optimizing production workflows with multi-level BOM structures and vertically integrated manufacturing. Direct experience in forecast development, production planning, supply chain management, inventory management, and other fulfillment side functions. Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred). Strong business operations analysis and modelling skills; mastery of Excel, ERP, and demand planning software.
