OverviewAmazon MGM Studios is hiring a Story Editor for the Movies team. This role is the owner of script coverage and Coverage & Editorial Oversight.ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor Story Analysts and Readers.Onboard and train new readers on coverage standards.Assign incoming material to staff and freelance readers.Maintain quality control across all coverage.Ensure timely turnaround on priority material.Maintain coverage databases and archival systems.Qualifications7–10+ years in story, development, editorial, or related creative roles.Deep understanding of screenplay structure and storytelling craft.Experience managing and editing coverage.Excellent written communication skills.7+ years of creative executive experience.5+ years of series development experience.10+ years of unscripted development and current programming in network/studio and production company roles experience.Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs.Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production.Knowledge of the US media landscape.Experience developing content that is award nominated, or from a broadcast network or streaming platform.EEO StatementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: $141,300.00 - $191,100.00 USD annually. The package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
