About the Position

NetGroup Engineering, working onsite with our client Volvo Group, is seeking a Module Project Manager to join the Vehicle Suspension Team in Greensboro, NC. In this role, you will represent the Vehicle Suspension Team across Volvo’s complete project portfolio, participating in stream project meetings to develop and deliver robust product solutions to the North American market.

You will combine your technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate the team’s status on all projects while also capturing and relaying project needs to the engineering group. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge research and development environment that focuses on quality transportation solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure new designs meet business targets, requirements, and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature (QDCF) objectives while communicating project status to product streams.
  • Proactively front-load tasks to enable robust early-stage releases and ensure stability during late-stage project milestones.
  • Maintain Volvo Group's reputation for quality and safety by ensuring all designs comply with applicable vehicle regulations.
  • Drive modular system development to optimize part diversity and system performance.
  • Integrate engineering deliveries, ensuring quality readiness prior to release.
  • Communicate active project updates during daily leadership meetings and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to create and deliver features for each Product Increment (PI), securing alignment with product stream requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems, methods, and processes across teams.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 6–8+ years of product development experience within the transportation or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Class 8 heavy-duty truck chassis, axle systems, suspensions, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic CAD experience using CREO (AVP).
  • Knowledge of Steering and Suspension Systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and Design Verification Plans (DVP).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proven ability to manage projects, communicate status updates, and drive initiatives to optimize processes and methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience in product ownership or project management is a plus; official certification is an added merit.
  • Ability to work seamlessly with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams in global development centers.
