3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.DescriptionAs a Business Development Specialist, you will expand the number of new business opportunities and increase agency revenue by identifying, qualifying, and contacting accounts to schedule introduction meetings to be led by yourself and a Director of New Business Development team member. You will be our front line representative as you prospect and schedule calls with VP level (and higher) contacts at national business-to-consumer companies who need our expertise to increase their leads and sales through online digital marketing. This position is competitive by nature, with a hunger to meet and exceed quotas, but also requires the ability to work within a team structure.Job ExpectationsIdentify business opportunities through prospecting, appointment setting, and face-to-face presentationsAccountable to an annual sales revenue of a minimum of $300,000 and monthly sales activity metrics to be established by your direct supervisorConduct daily cold-calls and set qualified introduction meetingsCollaborate with the Marketing Department to provide strategic solutions and presentations for prospective client’sPresent digital marketing solutions to prospective clients and educate prospective clients on Go Local Interactive’s product offeringsAssist the Director of New Business Development team members during the sales processCommunicate information received from prospective and current clients internally to the appropriate product teamsResearch and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitionActively network within local and national professional organizationsEnsure internal programs are properly positioned with our clientsQualificationsMust demonstrate a proven track record of the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible and fast paced environment to effectively meet goals and deadlinesMust demonstrate exemplary written and verbal communication skillsMust demonstrate presentation skillsMust demonstrate the ability to engage in cold-calling and prospectingMust demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information between internal product teams and external clientsMust demonstrate the ability to collaborate in a team-environment to actively pursue goalsMust demonstrate strategic and creative thinking when solving problemsMust demonstrate a basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, Paid Search, and Lead GenerationDemonstrated proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPointRequired ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or another related field preferred0-1 years of Sales or Business Development experience with a proven track record of successDigital Marketing, Advertising, or media industry experience preferredSalesForce and/or CRM experience preferredPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
