Position DetailsJob Title: AnesthesiologistEmployment Type:Full-timeSalary Range:$360,000 - $385,000Practice EnvironmentRole: Anesthesia support for Inpatient/Outpatient surgical and GI procedures.Practice Demographics:Inpatient and Outpatient settingsReports to department leadershipWork Schedule: 0700 - 1530, Monday to Friday, with call as detailed below.Call Coverage: Home call approximately 4-6 weeknights per month, 1 weekend home call approximately every 1.5 months.Opportunity HighlightsClinical and Academic Opportunities: Strong emphasis on clinical practice with the potential for involvement in research and academic activities.Teaching or Research Opportunities: Opportunities exist to participate in clinical research and academic activities.Specialized Equipment and Cases: Includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Plastics, ECT, GI, and TEE/Cardioversion.Candidate QualificationsResidency Training must have been completed, approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.U.S. Citizenship: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.Minimum of 5 years of experienceRegional anesthesia experienceHave a full, unrestricted medical license in any State.Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Board Certified/Eligible Incentives Offered:Recruitment and Relocation IncentiveEducational Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Interested candidates please send CV to Physician Recruiter Annie Luckey @ annie.luckey@va.gov.
