RN (Registered Nurse) Outpatient Hospice Weekend Only Mercy Health Lorain

This is a Collective Bargaining Unit Position
The Weekend Triage RN shall function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group. The Weekend Triage RN will promote continuity of care to patients and families during scheduled on-call hours, and conforms to the professional standards of community nursing practice, and the approved plan of care. The Weekend Triage RN is committed to the philosophy, mission and goals of New Life Hospice. The Weekend Triage Nurse will be paid for 32 hours working 1130a-12a Saturday and Sunday. Hospice Experience is preferred.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Graduate of an approved school of nursing, current registration in the State of Ohio. Minimum of two (2) years experience in medical-surgical, oncological, home health or hospice nursing. Maintains annual CPR certification. Good interpersonal skills are essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people of varying ages, education, social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Flexibility to adapt and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
Working Conditions
Normal patient care environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature, and the like.
Very frequent exposure to moderately adverse working conditions due to performance of certain distasteful patient care activities.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail fifty percent or more of work time.
Ability to stand, bend and walk more than eight percent of work time.

Directly accountable to the Clinical Manager or designee.
