Job Mission New Balance is hiring a temporary Sport Research Lab Coordinator to support athlete testing and research efforts in Apparel Innovation. This role works closely with our Sports Research Apparel Engineer to collect data, manage lab sessions, and translate insights into product development support. Aligned with our mission to create emotionally connected, athlete‑rooted product platforms, this role supports the development of performance apparel by enabling athlete‑centered testing and rapid iteration. You’ll help ensure our products are grounded in real movement and designed with distinction. Major Accountabilities Support the vision and execution of innovation research portfolios with a focus on biomechanics and physiology. Evaluate new technologies, methods, and analysis techniques. Analyze human performance data (kinematics, kinetics, perception) to uncover insights that inform product creation. Assist in reporting and sharing findings with cross‑functional teams. Operate lab equipment including motion capture systems (QTM, Theia, Visual3D), force plates (AMTI), and thermal testing devices (Thermetrics Hot Plate, ANDI Manikin). Collaborate across multiple projects simultaneously. Requirements for Success Degree in engineering, biomechanics, kinesiology, physiology, exercise science, or related field; Master’s preferred. Understanding of sport mechanics or physiology. Interest in performance‑focused apparel research. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Competence in data analysis and programming (Matlab preferred). Location & Pay Boston, MA Headquarters – Located in the Greater Boston area. Pay Range: $24.40 – $30.50 – $36.60 hourly (actual base pay varies based on experience, role, equity, and location).
