Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to work with a variety of equipment including slitting machines, conveyors, robotics, palletizers, and mixers. The role involves performing 50% reactive maintenance and 50% preventative maintenance, including changing out motors or replacing bearings. Reactive maintenance tasks will primarily involve repairing hydraulic and pneumatic components, as well as changing out motors and hydraulic pumps. The technician will also be responsible for fabrication work, sensor repair and replacement, and troubleshooting equipment that runs on 3-phase 480v electricity.ResponsibilitiesPerform reactive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic components.Conduct preventative maintenance including changing out motors and replacing bearings.Repair and replace sensors and troubleshoot sensor issues.Fabricate brackets and other components for machinery.Work with 3-phase 480v electrical systems.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment.Essential Skills3 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, including motors, sensors, and 3-phase 480v systems.3 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic pumps and pneumatic components.3 years of experience in replacing motors.Proficiency in electrical maintenance and industrial maintenance.Understanding of PLC troubleshooting.Understanding of mechanical repairs.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working in a slitting-type company.Ability to understand and perform mechanical repairs.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic and challenging work environment that values technical expertise and offers opportunities for professional growth. The work hours are from 4 PM to 4 AM or vice versa, following a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off schedule. While the preference is for night shifts, consideration will be given to candidates who can only work day shifts. Employees need to have their own basic set of tools and must wear jeans and steel-toe boots.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, Indiana.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
