Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Obtain quality MRI images of patients.
  • Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Observant of patients’ conditions.
  • Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
  • Administers contrast media as required.
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
  • Completes and maintains educational requirements.
  • Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
  • Understands and operates electronic information systems.
  • Participates in Department QA as requested. Keeps department neat, orderly and well stocked.
  • Ensures patient safety, to include cleaning the bore of the magnet as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasonography.  - Required
  • One year experience as a Radiology Technologist. - Required

Licenses & Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) Registered Required
  • ARRT (MR) Registered Required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
