OverviewThe Neurological Institute and Department of Neurological Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full‑time Spine / Trauma / General Neurosurgeon to lead its program in the Cleveland Clinic Akron and Canton region. The successful recruit will have demonstrated leadership managing a team covering spine, trauma, and general neurosurgery. Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center with reciprocal support to and from Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, a Level II Trauma Center. This region of Akron and Canton, OH, is a rapidly growing component of the Cleveland Clinic’s regional program development.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in general neurosurgery and trauma call, provide clinical care, teach, and potentially engage in research activities. Manage a surgical volume that includes trauma, spine, and general neurosurgery cases. Coordinate with an established Neuro‑ICU team of fellowship‑trained neurointensivists and cerebrovascular neurosurgeons. Utilize state‑of‑the‑art equipment including intraoperative Brainlab Brain Suite, O‑arm, and biplanar angiography.QualificationsAmerican Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) board certification (BC/BE) in neurosurgery with a high degree of competency in spine. Preferred: completed fellowship training in spine neurosurgery.Benefits and CompensationCompetitive salary and an attractive benefits package.
