Overview GEOINT Imagery Standards Developer Mid-Level (#2040) Springfield, VA. Compass, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to provide operational services to the Intelligence Community. The role supports mission critical activities and offers professional IT certification training opportunities through Compass. Responsibilities Provide specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects. Independently perform a variety of system analysis, design and/or engineering tasks that are broad and innovative in nature. Participate in national level steering and advisory groups, panels, and committees. Advise/mentor technical personnel at all levels and review work for technical accuracy. Guide the strategic growth of scientific imagery programs. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards to facilitate compliance and interoperability by integrating NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following areas: Still imagery standards (NITF, NITF Extensions such as MIE4NITF, SIDD, SICD; NATO Imagery STANAGs) Motion imagery standards and phenomenologies (EO, LVMI/WAMI, IR, MSI, HSI) Ensure current and future GEOINT standards satisfy capability requirements at program and strategic levels across NGA, NSG, and ASG. Develop capability-based standards profiles and reference architectures to enable search, discovery, access, retrieval, integrated intelligence, and advanced analytics. Required Skills and Tasks Active TS/SCI clearance Ability to develop and use complex concepts and processes Conduct root cause problem analysis Guide and support junior-level personnel Work Level Self-guided individual work Proactive team member Task Lead Education/Certification Required Masters degree, or Bachelors degree plus 2 years of experience, or Associates degree plus 4 years of experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant field.
