Restaurant Operations Manager The Restaurant Operations Manager (RGM) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant with a team of 10-45 employees. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing guest satisfaction and achieving key restaurant targets, including increased sales, profitability, and employee retention. As a leader of the restaurant management team, the RGM maintains financial controls, operational efficiency, and employee development while ensuring compliance with restaurant standards across all shifts. Responsibilities Execute efficient restaurant operations while providing exceptional service and high-quality food. Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and compliant with health standards, communicating any specific needs to the District Manager. Promote a strong customer-focused atmosphere, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Oversee the recruitment, interview, and hiring processes for hourly team members. Ensure compliance with I-9 Form requirements for all hires. Facilitate comprehensive training programs for all team members. Manage inventory levels diligently, ensuring proper stock rotation and control of storage facilities. Handle purchasing and receiving of products, maintaining accuracy in invoice verification. Process administrative paperwork and reports directed by the District Manager. Implement operational standards to ensure consistent product quality and cost control. Develop weekly staff schedules and assign specific duties to team members. Effectively manage labor costs. Utilize and understand Profit & Loss statements to enhance restaurant performance. Ensure effective in-store marketing, including adherence to promotional guidelines. Participate in public relations tasks assigned by the company. Maintain a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and property. Uphold security measures and follow security protocols within the restaurant. Adhere to the operational guidelines as outlined in the Manual of Operations and Employee Handbook. Assists in planning and organization aimed at reaching company objectives. Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures. Maintain accurate operating reports and records. Follow proper shift-change processes. Be proficient across all team member positions within the restaurant. Conduct timely performance reviews for all employees following company guidelines. Model effective disciplinary practices in line with company policies. Meet established speed of service standards. Ensure employee adherence to uniform and personal appearance standards. Forecast sales, production, and labor needs effectively. Guarantee all employees comply with company policies and procedures. Make guests feel special Perform other duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to prioritize tasks under deadline pressure. Skilled in immediate problem resolution. Ability to develop and implement action plans effectively. Budgeting and financial management skills. Ability to read and analyze business reports. Mathematical proficiency for real-world applications. Adept at following diverse instructions. Proficiency in computer and calculator usage. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Possess a car with required insurance coverage for company travel. Valid driver's license is required. 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management. Completion of all internal training programs is required. Physical Working Conditions This position is physically demanding, requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Regular exposure to video terminals is expected. Travel may entail various driving conditions. Frequent communication and the use of hands for operation is necessary. The noise level in the restaurant is typically loud.
