Supply Planner (1-2 year contract)


Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid / 3 day’s on site weekly)


Company Description:


We are currently working with a 100+ year-old Consumer Packaged Goods organization that is about to embark upon a substantial supply chain planning system transformation. To help ensure on-going success, they are looking for 2 Supply Planners to backfill the team members going onto the project. These are both contract positions that could last up to 23 months.


Position Description:


  • Responsible for inventory planning, supply planning and managing capacity constraints.
  • Manage the supply chain from placement of purchase- or production orders to goods receipt, ensuring product is available to meet customer demand.
  • Identify excess, obsolete and discontinued inventory issues.
  • Drive inventory planning enhancements to minimize operational constraints.
  • Direct communication with internal factories and suppliers.
  • Protect the financial performance of the strategic business unit by identifying potential supply chain issues.


Background Required:


  • Highly energetic individual with at least 3-5 years of supply chain planning experience.
  • Experience with high-volume retail / consumer goods supply chains.
  • Effective use of supply chain planning applications and MS Excel.
  • Proven track record of success in similar role.
